| 10 January 2011: Gig added Since Bart joined as the new drummer for Foretold, things are catching up rather quickly for the band again. Foretold is back! Of course, we are very happy and excited that the band is back on its feed and beyond. After playing 2 realy nice gigs end of last year in Tilburg, 5 brand new Foretold gigs are comming up. At last we are happy to announce the release of the brand new Foretold CD "In Rotting Memory". The CD contains 5 brand new written Foretold songs and is recorded in the Freezing Factory studio's in Tilburg at the end of 2009.

| 08 August 2009: Announcement Foretold is looking for a new drummer (again) From the add:... Who are Foretold: Foretold are tight-playing, ponderous death metal band from Brabant. Who now plays already for several years in this as good as unchanged line-up. As result, regular shows in the whole of the Netherlands and a bit of Belgium. Especially in Brabant, Foretold managed to build quite a reputation and a number of nice reviews in the music-pers. At the moment Foretold released: 2 demo?s and 1 own management CD. The next CD is currently in the making. What Foretold has to offer: Foretold is a band that can appreciate the occasional laugh but is serious when it comes to music. We have weekly rehearsal on Thursday evening in a rehearsal room in Bavel. This room is rented but is spacious and complete. There are amplifiers and a basic drum kit with a couple stands. There is also a locket to store our own stuff. We have own recording facilities and 3 sound-engineers. 2 in the band and one for live. When up and running again, Foretold will again perform on a regular basis. On average 1-2x per month. What Foretold is looking for: Like mentioned before, we are looking for a tight-playing motivated drummer who knows how to handle a double-bass. (band) experience is a pre. |
| 05 July 2009: Announcement Departure of drummer Wouter Foretold is sad to announce to be without drummer once more. After playing some time with Wouter on drums, we both felt it would be better to part ways and look for a new drummer for Foretold. There was nothing in the personal nature and we parted ways all in good friendship. We would like to thank Wouter and wish him all the best. |
| 15 November 2008: Announcement Foretold found a new drummer After the departure of our former drummer, our search for a new drummer paid off shorter then expected. Therefore we are happy to announce that search has ended and we found our mach in drummer (and already long time buddy to some of us). Wouter de Wijse. We all know Wouter from the Dynamo club in Eindhoven, where he volunteers for quite some time now in a variety of activities. He plays the drums for about 8 years now in a variety of bands. We are happy that with the new coming of Wouter Foretold is complete again. We spend the last two rehearsals with Wouter and well continue to do so in order to get him up to speed as soon as possible, so we can hit the stage again. | 01 November 2008: Webserver up and running again. Due to the system problems we had resulting in a reinstallation of the main web server. The Foretold website was running on the backup server for a while. Since the backup web server was not running the latest up to date copy of the Foretold website, the recent updates were not on the Foretold website anymore. Meanwhile the main web server has been reinstalled with the latest and greatest and this website is currently running on it once more. Most of the backups have been installed and we are currently working on restoring the rest of the backups until the site is fully running and up to date again. Our apologies for the inconvenience. |
| 20 October 2008: Announcement For those of you who already heard the rumors, it is true. We are unfortunate to announce that drummer Kim has decided to leave the band. As co-founder of the band (later to be known as Foretold), Kim was in the band for close to 9 years now. The main reason for his departure is of a personal nature. We all respect his choise with no hard feelings whatsoever and wish him all the best in the future. The remaining members of Foretold have decided to find a suitable replacement drummer and continue Foretold as close to the same manner we always did. The gig with Flesh Made Sin on the 19th of December will proceed as planned. This show will be the final one with Kim on drums. Please monitor this website for further updates on this story and our progress in finding a new drummer. |

| 05 March 2007: Foretold news As you might have noticed, at the moment no new gigs are planed for the near future. We are currently using this opportunity to put the main focus on the writing of new songs for the next Foretold album. The last Foretold CD "Factor" was released March 2006. Since that is almost a year ago, planning and preparation for a new album has already started. Of course we'll keep you posted on the progress. |

The good news is that the MetalBattle jury enrolled Foretold to take part in the first pre-round that will be held in cafe The Little Devil in Tilburg on Friday February 17th. Other bands that will join us that evening are: Charlie*Adler (Mathcore from Lottum), BulldozerBreed (Power/Speedmetal from Deurne) and Mytholic (Heavy Metal from Limburg). We hope to see you there and with a little support that we make it to the next round at the MetalBattle. |
| 11 January 2006: Recording news The recording of the new Foretold CD has now finished. Last Sunday Stijn recorded the first guitar lines and we managed to record Harrie's rhythm parts that very same evening. That was a very fortunate progress. That left us with the complete Monday to record additional guitar parts like: solos and acoustic bits and pieces. The idea was to record the clean guitar parts played on a nylon string classic acoustic guitar. Although this was a challenging setup due to the fact that acoustic instruments require sensitive microphone recording that even registers breathing. It turned out brilliantly. Harrie managed to hold his breath long enough to get these parts recorded. In our spare time we fooled around with acoustics and recorded a 2 minute acoustic instrumental that we might use on the CD as well. Tuesday William recorded the vocal parts. Brutal as ever, this guy's throat never stops to amaze us. We are all very pleased with the recording so far. Now we take a little break from the recording to give our hearing some well deserved rest. Harrie and Marco will start on the editing of all the recorded tracks shortly. After that the mixing and mastering can begin. When the last details like the cover and booklet designs are finished the CD will be pressed. We are planning to release it next March at the CD presentation held in the Dynamo club in Eindhoven. |
| 7 January 2006: Recording news Thursday the 5th of January the recording of the new Foretold 9 track CD started. It started all with the build up, tune and soundcheck of the drumkit. That all has been done last Thursday. Early Friday morning the recording of the drums started and Kim managed to get all recorded above expectations that very same day. That same day, the drums were torn down and the bass was setup. After the soundcheck of the bass. We still managed to record the basslines for one complete song. Saturday morning it was Marcos turn to finish what he started the evening before. To complete the basslines on the rest of the songs. At the moment Stijn's equipment is setup and soundchecked. He will begin to record the first guitar lines tomorrow morning. Now that the basis (drum, bass and a leftover guitar guide track) are done, we are all very excited on the results so far. Hearing now these songs come alive in this rock solid basis. We will commence the recording and keep you posted on the progress. |
| 11 December 2005: Foretold news As you might have noticed, at the moment its a bit quiet around Foretold live shows. This has several reasons. First of all, it's a bit quiet for all bands around this time of year with all the holidays and all family festivities going on. Second, were currently focusing on the recording of our new 9 song CD that we start recording in the beginning of January next year. There is a lot of work involved in the planning, song and lyric writing to try to make this CD as good or even better then the previous released 3 song demo. As all of this continues to run its course, we are working on new gigs after this CD is recorded and to promote it. The CD presentation will be held in Rock and Metal cafe Dynamo in Eindhoven. At the moment there is no exact date set, but the estimate will be around March 2006. Of course the new CD will be available at the presentation and we hope to have some nice Foretold wearables by then (or in the near future of it) as well. |

| 30 September 2005: Recording news It has been almost a year ago since the release of the last 3 song Foretold demo CD. Not quite actually, it was released last January. Never the less, we are planning to dive back into the Freezing Factory studio in Tilburg to record a brand new CD. The planning is to start recording in the end of November this year. New songs been written since of the last CD. These new songs will of course be recorded. Some of you might have heard the new song called: In Gods Hell that we are playing live the last few gigs and has been well receipted by you. I can spoil the surprise by letting out that this song will be recorded for our new CD. In addition to that, we will add 2 older songs never recorded. According to expectations, the new CD will be released around January next year. |
| 20 September 2005: Gig Cancelled Unfortunately the Foretold gig with FeedForward in OJC Maddogs is cancelled. The construction plans have been altered for the Maddogs. Therefore they will not be able to program bands anymore until the construction on the building is finished. The organization of the Maddogs will try to find an alternate location for this show in the Nijmegen region at a later date. |

| 5 January 2005: CD released The latest recorded Foretold CD is finaly released. It will be available at our gig at the Bosuil (Weert) and gigs after that for the amount of 3,- Euro's. The official CD presentation will be at the Little Devil cafe in Tilburg on the 4th of February 2005. |

| 7 December 2004: Recording news The final mixes and mastering of the Foretold demo CD are finished. The results are above expectations. The last bits are now taken care of, like: Some design changes in the cover. Printing and duplication. Unfortunately there is no estimate on the release of the demo. It will approximately be released early 2005. As soon as the demo is released, the demo songs will also be available for download in Mp3 format on this website. |

| 15 November 2004: Gig added Foretold will play at Cafe De Gouden Leeuw Dongen Saturday the 26th of February 2005 with the Dutch metal coverband: StormRider. |
| 10 November 2004: Recording news Everything is recorded now. Rhythm guitars, bass and lead guitar. After that the acoustic bits were added and finally Williams vocals. In the final stages of the recording, Joyce Dijkgraaf of the Dutch band Elleanore was willing to add some beautiful female backing vocals on: I am the Way. Now that the recording is finished, we can continue with final mixing and mastering. |
| 24 October 2004: Gig added Foretold will play in De Bosuil in Weert Wednesday the 5th of January 2005 as a support act for Grave and God Dethroned. |
| 11 October 2004: Recording news Foretold is currently recording their 2nd demo CD at the Freezing Factory in Tilburg. Drums are already recorded for the 3 song demo. Next weekend we will start on the recording of the guitars. Stijn will start on his parts followed by Harrie. Bass will be added after that. Sound a bit like a strange recording order. But bass will be recorded on a fretless bass guitar. Therefore a strong guitar lead is essential. The remaining bits like: Solo's and vocals will find their way on the CD after that.
